PSLTC '05!
PSLTC '05 - Peer Support Leader Training Camp 2005 O.O
-whooo! cheer ; applause-
i guess it wasn't such a bad thing that i had to skip the KL trip + 3 trainings in a row because of this camp. well actually, i don't regret it at all. sacricficing some bonding time with sec 2 tamil batch -HEH- and perhaps school team-deciding crucial trainings and matches was all worth it. x)
okay i shall explain what we did each day --------------
DAY 1:
we were supposed to report at 7.30am and the moment we reached school, we united with the other niners. i hardly knew anyone else anyway.
-HEH NEWSFLASH: I LEFT AT THIS PART TWO MONTH AGO; so sadly, i cant remember much now. ><>
yeah then i can't remember the exact sequence of events already whoops. but i do remember i had the time of my life. ((: all those games and stuff with my group, the giving tree play! we had to put up a play on the last day i think, as night surprise and all. and yeah, my group did our version of the giving tree to reflect on the theme 'lean on me'. it was super hilarious. xiao di was the moaning giving tree, a real freaky one. hahaha. we didn't get top3 or anything but we got the award for the 'play with the tree who has the most potential to act in a ghost movie' OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. haha. but so fun. it was quite last minute too.
and OH YEAH. this part of the camp was SUPER interesting HEHH: i think the second night where we were sleeping at j block shared classroom claire, marissa and i couldn't sleep so we stayed up like until 4am! hahah. and we didn't just stay up -oh noooo of course not-. we had to do something mischievous. muahaha. at first we actually thought of going to the squash courts to play squash! then decided it was too dangerous. as in, we'd get caught if we did so -okay fine i admit it. it's also cos it's freaky there. haha.- yeah then we thought we'd walk around the school. but then again, we might get caught and fine it's scary once again. so we decided we'd just take a walk around the track. but noooo, nature won't leave us at peace there too. we just took about 20 steps and a frog jumps out of nowhere and we all SCREAMMM. -hey i think it was marissa who started it! haha- we were super freaked NOT cos of the frog this time but cos we could've woken the SPSLS up! -oooh jeng jeng jeng jeng- not good. so we ran back all the way to the shared classroom and decided to stay inside block j. we took our sleepingbags outside and rolled/skid/jumped around in them ! OHMYGOD IT WAS SUPER THE FUN AND AMUSING! hahah. claire kept banging her head on the walls LOL! marissa and i are pro rollers lah haha. if the security camera recorded that, i'd like to go bribe him and get the tape from him. heh. but then it was short lived. we were laughing our heads off at the corridor when we were doing that and inevitably attracted the spsls' attention and they shoo-ed us back in. so we decided to settle for something inside the room this time. we started off by playing jacob's ladder with the people sleeping on the floor. hahaha. we jumped over all of them. so fun! but i think we awoke some of them cos we accidentally stepped on them WHOOPS heh. rebecca hoe looked super puzzled when she woke up and saw us giggling heh.- but we got bored of it after a while. so next, what better thing to do than to play a prank on everyone! -evil grin- haha. i think it was claire's brilliant evil scheme. we got newspapers that were lying around (was used for one of the activities during the camp) and tore them into strips -i really tried to avoid the obituary section but to no avail. sorry once-living-people, hope you rest in peace anyway. please don't haunt me ><.- then we hung them up on the fan blades! HEH. we had a tough time moving the tables under the fans cos people were sleeping everywhere. then we stuffed newspapers into people's sleeping bags, and especially folded the paper to form LOSER next to pei qi HEHEH. then yeah, we finally got tired and decided to build a small tent for ourselves. we used a huge wooden table, overturned it, put claire's blanket over it, and slept underneath it. and had a peaceful and satisfied sleep (: haha. then in the morning people were quite amused with our lame pranks haha. and they switched on the fist two fans but realised our prank and switched them off. we had to pick up all the pieces later anyway. wasn't a very big success but STILL worth the try ((:
yeapp. then we had other nice but typical psltc stuff. took loadsa pictures and all (from others' cameras since i dont have one). basically, it totally rocked. (: and special credits to claire, a total stranger who became a great friend through the camp she doesn't even look like a bballer!-. haha. we don't exactly keep in touch much now -sigh- but i certainly had a great time then cos of her and so many others like her. (: agogo dance! hahah. and to think, i got introduced to her just cos we happened to sit next to each other during an introduce-yourself-thingerr. heh. ohwell. thanks loads claire ((:
kay then. moving on from PSLTC. next big thing. trip to india. ohman so much to say, but i dont think i have the energy now so i shall just skip to OBS! YAYY.
OBS didn't only help me get over the grief of separating from a wonderful-beyond-description class and the fact that some of my close friends didn't end up in my new class but ultimately opened my eyes to many more things.

okay someday, i have to give a detailed account of it all. but not now, cos i'm totally almost drained of my energy. so for the time being, presenting to you, THE OBS QUOTES:

-'TTD! (time to die)' -was started during the nurse's talk. when people ask questions like: what happens if a bee/jellyfish/wasp stings you or a boar charges at you? we just go: 'too bad lah. TTD! that's your fate' hahaha.
-'invisible owl!' -it's actually referring to the aeroplanes which passed by during our trek. whenever we heard them, we couldn't see them cos of the trees and all. so arina conveniently identified the source of the sound as the invisible owl hahaha.
-'mosquito ass attack!' -says it all. mosquitoes attacking her ass. haha.
-'agony!!' -haha gab and i were laughing our heads off at the basha when she was screaming agony cos i THINK ants were biting her or it was the sand making her feel uncomfortable. either way, it was SUPER FUNNY the way she said it HAHAH.
-'do you want coffee, tea or me?' –said to serene when she mentioned she wanted to be an air-hostess when she grows up. Like, imagine saying that to the passengers. Haha.
-‘I want to call you annie! My pet ant-eater’ –to gab. Haha I found it RA.

-‘marmun and shishall’ –haha I came up with these new groups cos after we built our rafts, exactly half from marshall and half from munchi wanted to go for quarry dive. But our instructors didn’t allow us to go separately at first so I thought we should come up with new groups where marmun goes to dive and shishall (those who don’t want to) don’t. heh.
-‘that’s so RA!’ –RA here is an acronym for Really Amusing.

YEAP! these sorta explain the kind of bondedness and fun we had. ((: I LOVE COURSES LIKE THESE! there are so many other things i need to talk about. the solo night walk, ant infestation, kayaking ETC. to be honest, we were super depressed cos we badly wanted sea expedition and mobile but we didn't get both. residential and land ex. bummer. but we still had LOADS of fun. so it doesn't matter anymore. ((: i really got to know alot about so many people. i think arina's super adorable, gabby's so the humorous (: HEH, suvitha's SO R.A. and sadistic haha!, wenda has superpowers -like real haha-, serena never knew what a wild boar was... haha. the memories rock. really. and i'll treasure them for LIFE. i just hope the kind of friendship we made during the course would sustain. ((: I LOVE MY NEW CLASS. :D HEHEH. and i dont think it's too early to say cos i have confidence in them. (:
