the great depression
just when i thought i was flying high,
you shot me down flat:
and i go, 'DRAT'.
now i will tell you,
what i've done for you.
50,000 tears i cried.
screaming, decieving and bleeding,
for you.
i built too many illusions,
too much hope,
for you.
they loved her facade.
but when truth broke through,
everyone,
everything,
shunned her.
honesty is not always the best policy.
look at it,
look at my deflated soul.
savour it,
savour the satisfaction.
you did it,
